Out of Time, In Place

The Furman Department of Art is hosting an exhibition with multimedia artists Atefeh Farajolahzadeh and Megan Young in Thompson Art Gallery of the Roe Art Building. The exhibition features videos, textiles, and experimental animations that explore the personal and communal effects of migration. Drawing from each artist’s distinct migratory experience, the artworks reflect on how complex histories of travel and movement are reshaped, preserved or contested within our bodies and resonant within family and community. The exhibition runs August 18 – September 19, free and open to the public. Thompson Gallery hours are 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
