New Media Caucus – After Safety Removed

Megan Young presented on her socially engaged project Questions of Safety, developed in collaboration with the Cleveland Public Library, through a talk titled After Safety Removed at the Border Control: New Media Caucus 2019 Symposium. Hosted by the University of Michigan Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design, the symposium examined borders as physical, social, political, and digital constructs, bringing artists and scholars together to consider migration, displacement, contested identities, and the shifting boundaries shaped by contemporary technologies.
