Coming Suddenly, Passing Strangely

Presenting a collection of time-based works by Columbia College Chicago alumni, this exhibition explores the intertwined notions of journey and destination. Through film, sound, performance, and animation, the featured artists navigate shifting terrains of expectation, loss, and transformation. Their works form constellations of experience—moving between intimate reflection and urgent expression. From sonic diaries and poetic missives to meditations on isolation, displacement, and resilience, the exhibition invites viewers to dwell within moments of uncertainty and discovery, tracing how we move, change, and find meaning along the way.
