As part of Eden Ünlüata-Foley’s Humankind series, guest artist Megan Young is exploring the future of work along intersections of care, tradition, and technology through a workshop with West Shore Community College undergraduate students. Students consider the dreams of their elders, asking: “How did they envision our labor and how have they prepared us?” Those questions are explored through a 3D scanning and 3D visualization sessions examining the defaults within AI-driven image processing techniques. Participants contemplate how artifacts are digitized, dematerialized, copied, and reproduced across contemporary digital fabrication processes.
